Bob Baker founded BBJ Environmental and served as its Chairman from 1993 to 2007. Before BBJ Environmental, Baker worked as an executive in both the public and private sector. Bob came to Florida from the University of Texas’ prestigious M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, where he served as Vice President for Administrative Services. Prior to that, he was an executive with Gulf Oil Corporation. Mr. Baker is an enthusiastic contributor to the industry through several organizations. He is on the board of the Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA). He sits on two ASTM Standards committees, four ASHRAE Standards and Technical Committees, and has written numerous papers and articles. He was given the ASHRAE Distinguished Service Award in June of 2007 and is a member of the ASHRAE Standards Committee as well as the Code Interaction Subcommittee and Standards Project Liaison Subcommittee. He recently has been appointed to the ASHRAE committee that will be developing criteria for awarding certifications for HVAC System Maintenance Management.
