Let there be LIGHT!
A 3rd generation scientist, Ed Light appears to the GSA’s go-to-guy for indoor air quality investigations. The GSA has used his services to investigate indoor air quality issues at the White House, a scientific station at the South Pole and in NYC buildings following the 9/11 attacks.Rather than mincing words, Ed doesn’t feel restrained by political correctness tells it like he thinks and feels it is. Ed says that his science stands on itself and urges his Internet critics to read his scientific publications before they make negative posts about him.
Points of Light:
Ed’s comment that MCS as a bell-shaped curve is profound. He also suggested that those with MCS need to take charge and manage themselves and their environment.
“Not all CIHs are qualified to investigate buildings.”
Ed offered a useful tip to remediators: “Follow the water and don’t always listen to mold testers.”
“Mold has a better PR firm than soot.”
Building investigators should consider a team approach by working with Sanitarians.
Ed advocates that antimicrobials should be used to clean, sanitize and maintain buildings and that “green cleaning products are regressing.”
